July LIVE sport

SOCCER

Not long to wait now for soccer fans until PL 2019-2020! In the meantime, the Copa America and Africa Cup of Nations will culminate with both finals in July.
Brazil of course no strangers to finals, but who will join them there? ..... while Liverpool fans will be keeping an eye on how their talisman Mo Salah's Egypt get on as they qualify out of the group stages into Round 16.

RUGBY

The Southern hemisphere will also provide the 'inter-season' games with the The Rugby Championship. Now in it's 8th edition, you'd imagine New Zealand will be looking to make a statement ahead of Japan 2019.

TENNIS, GOLF & CYCLING

Plenty of tennis with Wimbledon, golf with the Irish Open first followed by the British Open..... and cycling fans have the Tour de France to look forward to throughout the month of July, in particular the mountain stages on the 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th & penultimate stage on the 27th before the riders roll into Paris.

HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

After Davy's Wexford's Leinster final win against Kilkenny, will they be the ones to put it up to Limerick with the 2017 Champions Galway already gone from the 2019 championship?
Semi-Finals at the end of July will give us a better indication no doubt....

GAA CHAMPIONSHIP

Finally, the Super 8s are taking shape with 8 teams (Galway, Mayo, Meath, Clare, Cavan, Tyrone, Laois and Cork) vying for the final 4 spots..... Kerry's first game is at home to either Galway or Mayo on the 14th July before a trip to the capital to take on Donegal in phase 2. The final game will be away to either Meath or Clare.....

Call in for a drink, a bite to eat and a cracking month of sport!
